Boyhood

 

A k-drama set in the 80's in the country side of South Korea has a lot going for it. Country bumpkins, sweet fields and anger of it's youth. This drama showcased such a great cast. Although, many have qualms about the cast being too old to play teenagers. Still when, I think of all the violence maybe it's best to have the cast in their mid-twenties and thirties. 

Of course, the main character has a lot to learn, but he has a kind heart, falls easily an love and he's actually a dancer instead of a fighter. Si Wan is showing what a versatile actor he is in this coming of age story. He has many faces in this drama, of trying to survive high school.

Lee Si Woo's White Tiger is scary. This actor is showing how he can go from good to bad in an instant. Oh, he's got some martial arts skills too. There are plans for Boyhood Season 2. You can catch the first season on Viki.
