Jack & Diane

I first heard of this film, years ago now..I guess. Right after the movie Juno came out. It was going to star Ellen Page and Olivia Thirlby. Ellen would be Jack. Olivia would be Diane. Catch was, they'd be lesbians on the run in the film. Kind of an awakening film for both characters. It was to be a very indie film. Here was the buzz about it in 2007.

Then it seemed forgotten.

Accidently, I had to look at Dane Dehaan's page on imdb. And there it was Jack and Diane. I was so happy. Yeah.

Well, it turns out there is no Ellen nor Olivia in the movie. Now its staring Juno Temple. Maybe it always had, and someone just had their information wrong on the Internet. Also Jenna Melone will star. In this feature Juno will play Diane while Elvis Presley's grand-daughter, Riley Keough will play Jack.

Storyline: Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane's charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack's tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions.

Lesbians gone werewolves. And to think Cat People was about lesbians too. Of course, you'd never know it in the 1942 with French actress Simone Simone. But of course, film has come along way then with touchy subject matter.

Jack and Diane is filming now. Keep it in mind this movie in 2011

  1. Whoooa, the whole "lesbians gone werewolves" thing definitely sounds like something you wouldn't see everyday! This could be interesting! I kind of wish Ellen Page was really in it though, haha.
