Johnny Flynn

The definition of a true troubadour : 1. medieval poet or singer: a writer or singer of lyric verses about courtly love, especially in parts of Europe between the 11th and 13th centuries.

2. love poet or singer: a writer or singer of love poems or songs.

What can I say? He's just beautiful. What an amazing song writer and voice..oh, and he's pretty sweet to look at too. But seriously, he's a song writer to be reckoning with. There is something slight indie 'Decemberist' or maybe even a long lost Waterboy...about his music. Humble as well, being inspired by Shakespeare or even Henry David Thoreau, for that matter. I couldn't think of a better artist to share Earth Day with. Flynn is a true folk artist and genuine musician. Even his guitar is over a hundred years old.

Flynn is a twenty-something South African-born Brit. He was in a Shakespearean all male troupe, Propeller His music has a wonderful wordsmith about it. He got his start with the Sussex Wit. His Sweet William EP came out in 2008. Back in June of last year he came out with his debut Been Listening. It has such quirky songs as Kentucky Pill and Tickle me Pink along with beautiful remenises for the soul in The Water and many others. I will confess Barnaceled Ship is my favorite. He is planning a tour here in the states come May.

  14. I ttotally forgot to answer your question, No, I didn't crochet the hat on my daughter. I don't crochet. I sew and can make anything square. So, no hats.

Have you seen Water for Elephants? I was wondering what you thought. It's getting panned pretty bad, which pains me. I run a blogazine and everywhere I turn there is another bad review.
