MTV's This is awkward

A new summer show just started this past week on MTV starring Ashley Rickards as Jenna Hamilton with an accident gone wrong. You may remember Ashley as Samantha Walker on One Tree Hill. Along with (Matty) Beau Mirchoff as that guy Jenna might have a soft spot for and Drew Osborne as Emo, there will be plenty of awkwardness all around in this quirky comedy. But this just might be Jenna's year. She might be finding someone new to hang out with..or even be popular.

Matty..is he a good guy or just oblivious to what's really going on?

STORYLINE: "Awkward" is about the specific incidents in our formative years that define us -sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. The show centers around fifteen-year-old Jenna Hamilton, who, like many, feels invisible to her peers and desperately wants to find her place--which is hard to do in a day and age where fitting in means standing out. Unfortunately, Jenna's visibility comes on the heels of an accident that gives her a not-so-fun stigma. And while the stigma of her accident could be the curse of her life, Jenna's determined to make it her life's blessing.

SCREENCAPS from the pilot.

Her chatty best friend played by Jillian Rose Reed.

That girl might be getting popular...

The mean cheerleaders.

  3. Yup, there really is a stage where everyone of us probably suffers from identity crisis. And know what, I really wonder why cheerleaders are stereotyped as mean girls. Hahaha. I'll probably watch this show too :)
