Suburgatory

Wednesdays on ABC has a new comedy right after THE MIDDLE.

Premise: A teenage girl moves from the city to the suburbs.

Simple enough. Add Jeremy Sisto as the dad. It can't be all bad if you have the wonderful Alan Tudyk around.

You might remember Janey Levy from Shameless
Allie Grant was on Weeds
Carly Chaikin is going blond for the show. She was in THE LAST SONG.

Cheryl Hines and Rex Lee are a few of the grownups of the show. It also show cases the talents of Jane Levy, Allie Grant and Carly Chaikin.

Unfortunately, some have already panned it, but it is sandwiched between some successful comedies. It looks interesting enough.

EMILY KAPNEK IS WRITING/PRODUCING A NEW SHOW CALLED “SUBURGATORY.”
EVERYTHING IS GINGER AND NOTHING HURTS. (a show you might remember of hers)

"It’s all about 16 year old Tessa who’s dad decides to move her from Manhattan to upstate New York because he found condoms in her room. A little extreme? I’d say so! Regardless she is placed into what seems like a Stepford wives meets Mean Girls town complete with blonds, boob jobs, pedicures and plastics. Neither her nor her dad seem to fit in, but I’m sure along the way of making friends and meeting neighbors they bond become closer. or something like that.
Bottom Line: For any teens who are sick of vampires or guidos or liars or teen wolfs, this is the show for you! Think MTV’s Awkward meets Mean Girls but better. The narration alone is what drew me to the show. With lines like “Pretty ironic that a box full of condoms landed me in a town full of plastic” who wouldn’t want to watch. I love shows about underdog characters, it just makes them more relatable to more people. Here’s to hoping Suburgatory is like that." - what should you watch
