IN TIME - movie review

I can't think of a better movie to show case the talents of Justin Timberlake, Cillian Murphy and Vincent Karatheiser. And let me not forget Alex Pettyfer's gangsta role in his native tongue to add to the movie.

This movie is the first film of the season to WOW me. Its such a good story. No prickly aliens to fight off. Just the incredible storyline of man against time. TIME IS MONEY. Basically, that's all you need to know.

TRIVIA: In real life, Justin Timberlake is older than Olivia Wilde, who plays his mother.

This is the story where you never get old. Just when you are 25 the clock starts ticking. You have to earn your time on earth or you're clocked out. And the cost of living is going up. It just keeps going up in the time zone you live in. Timberlake's Will comes from the ghetto time zone, but when someone who has a century or so gives him his time, well...it just doesn't look right on video.

In comes in the TIMEKEEPER Cillian Murphy who tracks Timberlake down after a series of other misfortunes. Just to find that he's in a better time zone.

There, we meet the awesome Vincent Kartheiser as Philippe Weis who has a lot of TIME. He's a very old man, and you know it from his perspective on life. Up until now, he'd protected his vivacious daughter Amanda Seyfried, Sylvia. But she's a girl who feels she hasn't lived until she meets Will. Soon enough, they are on the run, looking for TIME. Luckily, Sylvia knows a few places to go. They are the Bonnie and Clyde of the future.

The film also gives us some up and coming actors to view as well, like August Emerson, Luis Chavez and Bella Heathcote. The film is full of surprises, from faces you know to some great car chases. This film just goes to show what sort of roles Alex Pettyfer should be getting.

The film is fun, serious and above all makes you think.

STORYLINE: In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'.
