This is what happens when you have an extreme case of writer's block. Take a new drug to get a novel written in a few days. But there might be some setbacks.

Why couldn't he have been in the movie more?

I have to say though, it was great to see Johnny Whitworth in this film (if only he could have been in it longer) as the ex-brother-in-law/dealer who gives this epic drug to the main character, Eddie Maro (Bradley Cooper) in this movie. Although, the film could have gone a lot darker and deeper than it did, its still a fun film full of movie tricks and such, going on, in the main character's head.

Here you have a down and out writer (Bradley Cooper). He's depressed. His girlfriend isn't pleased with him. He's gotta bad haircut and a messy apartment. But then on the street he meets Vernon (Johnny Witworth) and they meet for a drink. Funny, how one little pill changes everything. Eddie gets focused, cleans his apartment, and starts writing. A lot. And things speed ahead in his life as he finds out the bad part of being Vernon. Soon he's tripping, cause he wants to be smarter and get more done in a day, than the average guy. But as he raises himself to new heights, well, he starts to wonder, how did he get here? What did he do, meanwhile? Toss in some bad guys, hunting for him everywhere, and we soon see Eddie on the run. Who only wants to make things right with his girlfriend.

I was hoping Robert De Niro would have been in this movie more. And I often wondered what was going through the girlfriend's mind in the duration of this film. She was played splendid by Abbie Cornish.

STORYLINE: An action-thriller about a writer who takes an experimental drug that allows him to use 100 percent of his mind. As one man evolves into the perfect version of himself, forces more corrupt than he can imagine mark him for assassination. Out-of-work writer Eddie Morra's (Cooper) rejection by girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish) confirms his belief that he has zero future. That all vanishes the day an old friend introduces Eddie to NZT, a designer pharmaceutical that makes him laser focused and more confident than any man alive. Now on an NZT-fueled odyssey, everything Eddie's read, heard or seen is instantly organized and available to him. As the former nobody rises to the top of the financial world, he draws the attention of business mogul Carl Van Loon (De Niro), who sees this enhanced version of Eddie as the tool to make billions. But brutal side effects jeopardize his meteoric ascent...
