Its in the works! You got it at the CW. The prequel of Sex in City. Its from producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of GOSSIP GIRL.
This time around Carrie Bradshaw will be played by AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory‘s Violet Beauregarde).
Even Vanessa Hudgens is going for Austin. Some were hoping she'd get the lead in THE CARRIE DIARIES. |
Her love interest at school will be Austin Butler last seen stirring up trouble on SWITCHED AT BIRTH. Butler will be Sebastian Kydd, a brooding heartthrob whose presence at Carrie’s school shakes things up.
"That’s right! There’s going to be a spin off of the hit show Sex in the City…and this time it’s all about a young Carrie! Before the ladies nights and all the boyfriends."-teenhollywoodtake |
The show will take place in the 80's. Of course it will be full of questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.

I'm excited about this show!
ReplyDeleteCan't hardly wait! I'm a Sex in the City Carrie fan!
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE fan of this book series, and cannot wait to see it adapted for the small screen. AnnaSophia Robb is gorg (loved her in Because of Winn-Dixie) - she will be amazing as Carrie! :)
ReplyDeleteOh man, I loved Sex and the City, so I can totally see liking this show!
ReplyDeleteI hope its good! Looks like some great casting!
ReplyDeleteI thought elizabeth olsen was going to play Carrie.. anyway.. I still have my doubts on wether the show will be a hit or not.. I think they're exploting SATC too much already.. the series are insanely awesome, the first movie was OK, the second not that much.. there are rumors of a third one which I hope they never do and now the new series with young Carrie..mmmmm I think they should just let us enjoy the good stuff while they ruin it.. but who knows.. it might work, we'll see..
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog btw.. I'll keep in touch!
Elisabeth would be great in the part. I didn't like the sequel to the Sex in the City movie, either. I hope the show will be good though.
