Fiction Tuesday - Its poetry month

What better way to celebrate this month than to find a novel in verse. Here are two exceptional novels by exceptional authors, Sarah Tregay and  Ellen Hopkins.

Of course, I'm sure you are no stranger to Hopkin's amazing work in Young Adult literature with her CRANK trilogy. She's now written an adult novel, Triangles. This is also written in her sensitive poetic prose.

I recommend that you all read Ellen Hopkins's books.

I have cried reading every single one of them. They are so passionate. And so full of insight. They are true pieces of art.-janlrae

Love and Leftovers was a fun, witty and lovely read. I loved how Marcie told her feelings through writing it in poems. Through short verses I was able to understand her, see her frustrations, her struggles, wishes, and desires. Marcie was struggling and lonely with all the situations she was suddenly thrown into - depressed mother, new school, making new friends, being away with people she loved - making her flawed in so many ways, doing wrong decisions and actions.-thewinnerstandsalone
