Notes from the Closet

It seems seasons for shows are shorter and shorter on television. Could it be the economy or all those other outlets online and a click to your nearest app that just don't give you that lingering thought of wanting to see how storylines and characters turn out at the end of May. However, a few shows do give us something to linger about and wish they were back next month.

Quitters Never Win

VAMPIRE DIARIES seemed to rely on flashbacks for the most part in their finale. We should have seen it coming. Full circle. Of course, do we really know what we are seeing or is that something the writers smile about when they write this stuff. "Lets see if they can figure this out..." Would we want it all spelled out? As it is, it hard to tell if some villians are really gone or not. And Jeremy is showing he's a whole lot smarter than we thought. Still, I'm wishing they give more that just a bit part to Matt. Sure, he's you know who's ex. But is that enough?

True, some are now becoming ghosts. And is it really the end for Tyler Lockwood? But its easy to see, there is a new vampire in town. I hope next season will be fun.

REVENGE used a lot of flashback too, in the episode right before the finale. Just so we would know how Nolan and Jack used to wear their hair. Among other things, how angry Emily Thorne became so she'd be out for revenge. More on Revenge this coming week.

Cassie might not have been the most evil with her dark power, but hey, there was still plenty to go around.

Save the Circle at ABC FAMILY FACEBOOK

THE SECRET CIRCLE went almost viral. Of course, they were hanging in the balance, wondering if they'd stay on the network or not. Even so.. the show did deliver. The circle has been broken thanks to Cassie's Dad. Of course, they also had to find out a few of them were related to thanks to her dear old Dad. The thing was, those darn spells were rather cheesy. Its good to see some magic in each character now, and what they will do with it. Of course, Charles went through a bit of a metamorphosis on the show this season too. Yet, maybe he'll be back with his own demon power next season. And we might have a more sinister Adam. I gotta admit, he needed some balls, but he's got it in the form of a crystal skull, now. Also Jake and Faye might make some magic of their own. Heaven knows how dark it might be. Although, I'll miss Lee LeBeque (Grey Damon) the most who was Faye's bad boyfriend who was done in by his girlfriend in a coma when she found out he wasn't as trustworthy as she'd expected. And Diane is showing some promise, running away with her Australian beau. She's a little mixed up now. Finding out she's Cassie's sister and she might hold some black magic too. Needless to say, I want a second season so bad..but CW is not going for it. I loved this show. Much more The Vampire Diaries.

  1. I am a HUGE Vampire Diaries fan; and while I have read The Secret Circle books, I have never seen the show. I'm truly upset to hear that it was canceled; but I will definitely be buying Season 1 when it's released on DVD. :)
