Fiction Tuesday - This is so Not Happening.

This is the third of the trilogy THE HE'S SO/ SHE'S SO. You don't necessarily have to read the other two books, She's so Dead to Us and He's so Not Worth It, but you might want to after you read this book.

“What would you do if it were me?” she asked, her voice practically a whisper. “Do you think you’d feel different about it?”
My breath caught in my throat. I’d marry you was the first thought that popped into my mind. And it was true, I realized suddenly. I would marry her. I would take care of her. I would do whatever to protect her.-Jake

This is a series written by Kieron Scott. She is also Kate Brien of the PRIVATE paperback series. Honestly, though, I like these characters better. They actually seem more like someone you might actually know at school.

Kieran Scott captures readers heart in every story she writes, and strongly relates to what teens are going through daily. She sends a strong message through this series that shows how money could effect everyone’s lives strongly. A single inanimate object brings Ally’s life to a crazy rollercoaster ride. Get a ticket and join her on the ride.-the muggle diaries

I pictured Ally as someone very down to earth like Xenia Goodwin (from Dance Academy)
Brett Davern as Jake.

This is the saga of Ally and Jake. Finally, they decide to go for it. Boyfriend. Girlfriend. Except, there is this one problem. A mutual (sort of) friend is pregnant. Chloe. And guess who's it is? Naturally, Chloe's beau Hammond drops her like a hot potato. Yet, Ally sticks by Jake.

They weren't seriously going out when he hooked up with Chloe. It was a one night stand. Alley is determined to be there for Jake. Yet in turn, he's there for Chloe, as a friend. Eventually, he goes to doctor appointments with her. His grades suffer. He's really stressed. His parents are definitely not cool with this.

(Christine Porsperi) Chloe is definitely a drama queen, especially toward Ally

Chloe is going to give the baby up for adoption. In the process, skinny Chloe becomes not that girl anymore who had everything together when she was at school.

This is a story about friendships, bromances and of course modern woes of all the pitfalls of relationships in high school.

Lincoln(Callum Worthy) was definitely the adventure type, but always had candy for every occasion. He was also younger than Ally, and college is her destiny with or without Jake.

Ally also has to face the fact that her mother is getting married, and she is part of the wedding. To distract herself from the impossible pending problems, she tries out for a Shakespeare play. She meets Lincoln who is sweet as sugar (He eats a lot of candy by the way). Will she give up on her Jake?

Lots of twist and turns in this story. I like that its written from personal points of views. Only Jake's and Ally's. This is quite a cast in this trilogy. Yet, I couldn't help but to be caught up in this story and wonder what would happen to these characters, senior year.

  2. I really love this trilogy. It makes you wonder what you'd do if you were in a situation like this.

I'm not sure I liked all of her friends. I did like Lincoln's character. ..and his candy breath..hehe..
