Fiction Tuesday - The Angel

Has Christmas stressed you out? Ready for a little ME TIME that might mean..reading something naughty? Well, move over FIFTY SHADES OF GRAY and get ready for some real erotica with Tiffany Reisz's THE ANGEL. Its part of the series The Original Sinners.

I could definitely picture Guzman as Soren.

BOOK DESCRIPTION: No safe word can protect the heart

Infamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren—whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin—is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora's lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.

Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora's protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.

But while her flesh is willing, Nora's mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora's past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It's a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts.

THE ANGEL is the follow up of THE SIREN.

Ink doesn’t get into your skin. It gets into your soul. Changes you.
Griffin Fiske, “The Angel” by Tiffany Reisz

If I were going to sum up The Angel in two words, I would say it is a tale of secrets and revelations.-Letitia

Alex O'Loughlin could definitely be Griffin for me.

“French is bad. French means Kingsley.”(Gaspard Ulliel)

What do you think makes good erotic fiction?

The same thing that makes good ‘fill-in-the-blank’ fiction—good writing, strong plot, interesting characters (throbbing members optional though keenly encouraged.)  -T.Reisz

Some how the novel is more fun when I think Of Krysten Ritter as the main character, Nora Sutherlin.

Ms. Reisz is a tricky little devil playing with all of my emotions at the same time. I cannot even begin to say the things that I found erotic because of her writing. She teases and whips you all throughout the book. While I was floored with her audacity to mix and mingle these themes and theories, I felt completely okay with everything happening...even the illegal stuff. I am definitely and irrevocably the president of #TeamSoren-Pleasant

Why do you think we’ve seen a real boom in the demand for this type of fiction? Is it just EL James that has sparked it?

When Twilight hit and hit big, publishers started to realize that reaching the female audience was the key to making money. Who reads books? Women. Who buys books? Women. Who write books? Women. Nora Roberts sells more books every year than Stephen King and James Patterson combined. Women fell in love with Twilight because of the romantic elements and the fan fiction community couldn’t get enough of the mix of love, sex, and danger. We erotic writers owe our debt of gratitude to Stephanie Meyers, especially EL James.-T.Reisz

Amazing characters, amazing story line, amazing sex all in one book - what more could you want? Characters that are funny, sad, arrogant, loving, caring, crazy, sexy, steamy, hot and wicked are all in here.-H
