Arn

Arn Magnusson to the rescue!

Need to clarify your Swedish needs in film? You can fall in love with the language all over again, with this show now on Netflix. Oh, its got two Skarsgårds (Stellan and Gustoff..sorry no Bill) in the mini series and neither of them are Arn the Templar Knight. The show came out somewhere between 2007and 2010.

Arn is Joakim Nätterqvist. He reminds me of a younger Stephen Dorf (actually, he's only a year younger than Stephen), yet there are times he comes off a lot more Chris Hemsworth.

Add in the lovely Fanny Risberg as his love interest Cecilia and wow, you have a lot to root for in this mini-series. It has such a historical flavor to it... which gives you an insight how religion worked in those harsh times, and how faithful these characters are to their people and of course, God.

Such a gorgeous backdrop. And Gustoff is such a scene stealer as Knut the prince who would be King. Throw in a magical sword given to Arn by a faithful monk, and you've got a rich history in the making!

STORYLINE: Arn has to endure so much before he can get the love of his life Cecilie, who has been put away in a monastery.
