The movie was a real surprise at the box office this weekend. Coming in second. Its the sequel to the 1999 movie Best Man. This is a Malcolm D. Lee movie. He wrote it and directed it.
STORYLINE: When college friends reunite after 15 years over the Christmas holidays, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.
The movie stars Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Ragina Hall along with many other wonderful actors.
Yes we enjoyed Best Man Holiday, we’ve cried our brains out, and yes we are happy for it’s success but please don’t let this be permission to resurrect other black films. Please do not do a Loves Jones Christmas, Boomerang Back, Crooklyn: Troy Grown Up, Love & Basketball Pt. 2, Brown Sugar: Mama, The Brothers 2, Boyz ‘n’ the Hood: New York, Juice (in LA), Coming to America — Again, Poetic Justice 2014, etc. No we really need new stories, highlighting new actors.”

“The Best Man Holiday didn’t over perform. It was under estimated. And that’s the story that needs to be told.”
