Helix

SyFy is at it again..bringing a whole new WORLD to Friday nights.

STORYLINE: A team of scientists are thrust into a potentially life-or-death situation in this thriller, which begins with the group being deployed to the Arctic to secretly investigate what could be a disease outbreak.

Someone designed this virus. And it sure as shit wasn’t mother nature.

Basically, there is a lot of weird stuff going on at this base in the very near future. Actually, every man or woman for themselves as they race against time and oxygen. Just how bad can it get?

The captain is the very calm Hiroyuki Sanada, perfect for the part as Dr. Hatake. But really..just how calm is he?

There is also Billy Campbell as the devoted Dr. Farragut trying to figure out this virus and save his brother too.

There is Dr. Sarah Jordan played by the meek Jordan Hayes who may have some personal problems of her own and others are asking her for help.

There are a lot of levels to this base. Some have been thrown out into the halls to be all on their own like Luciana Carro's Anana to battle those already succumbed to the virus. What has happened to those with the disease? Are they zombie predictors or what?

There is definitely a lot of suspense to this new show.  Yet, there is the human touch. Although, it starts with a headache and a fever..along with a rash..then the hallucinations set in...they just might not be human anymore. It might be the next big thing the government wants to use for war. Oh..so many questions. If you are hungry for a savory science fiction show..this just might be for you.

I haven’t had nearly enough sleep, coffee, or cigarettes to deal with this Fox Mulder crap.
