This just might be the most important book you read this year. You might find it in the YA section at the library or even at the book store, but it is Malala's story of what she's been through.

Guys! I just finished reading the autobiography I Am Malala. and I can’t express enough how important this book is. I think everyone needs to read it. In case you don’t know, Malala is this amazing young girl (currently 16) from a small village in Pakistan. Her father was very big on everyone’s right to an education so he opened his own school, luckily Malala and many young girls in their village were able to attend school. With the Taliban around it was very dangerous for everyone in Pakistan, people were being publicly murdered daily because the Taliban didn’t like them. The Taliban enforced horribly cruel rules (an example is that they don’t believe women should be educated) and believed non-Muslin ideas even though they claimed to be the most Muslim; and the Pakistan government and military could do nothing against the Taliban. By the age of 11 Malala went with her father to many education conferences and spoke up for everyone’s right to an education, by such a young age she had already done so much for her country. But at the age of 15 she has shot and almost died for how widely popular she was becoming in her campaign for women’s rights to education. Luckily she survived and it has only made her stronger and able to get the word out around the world more easily. Seriously guys, she is my hero. Go read this book, it will change your life.
