Oh. such a tragic and predictable movie. After all, we do know how it ends, but just how will they get there to that final moment? If you love history, especially about the Roman empire and how they over ran Europe 79 or so A.D. and wiped out many English tribes then its a must see movie. If you've missed Kit Harington on the small screen and want to see that new body of his..then IT IS A MUST SEE. Naturally, Kit is a man of few words.
He plays the slave THE KELT who's actual name is Milo who meets merchant's daughter Cassia (Emily Browning) on the way to Pompeii. He puts her horse out of its misery. Possibly, not exactly the horse whisper, but there it a lot to get to in this story.
Keifer Sutherland plays the bad guy who is part of the Roman Empire, who has his eyes set on Cassia.
Yet one of the major stars of this film is the volcano. This is a film full of great special effects. The movie definitely makes the disaster part of this film real. Also the great Adewale Akinnuoyo-Abgaje as Atticus the gladiator is to the rescue.
Once nemesis in the ring of gladiator fighting, Atticus and Milo join together as brother to fight off the Roman Empire in the stadium. In this catastrophic movie its the Gods telling the world just how bad the Romans are. No one seems to try to run for cover until the very end.
But the film has some amazing fighting scenes. And so much to look at on screen. Even Harington's beautiful abs. And yes Emily Browning looks beautiful and those eyes are saying she wants to be with her co-star very much.
STORYLINE: Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.
