Noah

Who would have thunk it? A  movie about the Bible's old testament story... number one at the box office. Granted, the movie does have its controversy. To some, its not religious at all..yet supernatural.

This is the account of Noah. Noah was a godly man; he was blameless among his contemporaries. He walked with God.
— Genesis 6:9

TRIVIA: This is the third collaboration of Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly in a feature film, following A Beautiful Mind (2001) and Winter's Tale (2014). This is also the second time they have played husband and wife together, with the first one being A Beautiful Mind (2001).

The cast is splendid with Emma Watson and Ila and Douglas Booth as Shem along with Logan Lerman as Ham.

Still, the movie might not be what the audience was looking for..or was it?

on of my favorite things about Noah is that there are some scenes where they kill an animal, and every one of those animals they kill are obviously not a real life species and its makes me so happy like yes that is good attention to detail,-thebloodthirstyavatar

The plot line alluded to ancient man developing an industrial civilization that poisoned the planet, resulting in it's destruction. So I'm thinking, "That's a cool twist to a familiar story-I'm in!"

Not there. I mean, they talked about it, but they didn't show any of the "ancient tech" that was poisoning the planet. I would really like to have seen that, it would have appealed to today's audience and made it relevant. They not only didn't show any of this ancient civilization, they didn't even show ONE BUILDING, I mean not even one mud hut! With that budget? What did they spend the money on?-Michael

STORYLINE: A man is chosen by God to undertake a momentous mission of rescue before an apocalyptic flood destroys the world.

  1. I only wish that they would have stuck to the true story.
