Kill For Me

We don’t always need the law, because we have our guilt and our conscience, and sometimes that’s more than enough.

Oh..it was an accident that I came upon this little gem at Dollar General. Its a little bit of a lesbian/horror film. But as in the real horrors of life. You don't find many films like this. And with such a wonderful cast. It was made in 2013 and I guess went straight to DVD.

The movie stars Katie Cassidy (Arrow) and Tracy Spiridakas (Revolution) as roommates Amanda and Hayley. Amanda is a little put off with having a new roommate since her old roommate Natalie is missing. Both Amanda and Hayley have baggage. Amanda's ex, Cameron (Torrence Coombs) is quite the psycho. Hayley's Dad (Donal Logue) is a drunk who Hayley confesses has been cruel to her.

Anyway, Amanda gets into a physical fight with Cameron and Hayley is to the rescue. One thing leads to another and you know, who the better person is in the end. But do we? Hayley has revenge in mind and sets a plan in motion.

Torrance’s scenes from Kill For Me.  It’s less than ten minutes long (and thank God because the movie was so bad that when [spoiler alert] his character died, I was like ‘Oh thank Christ’ and turned it off).  But Torrance was amazing, of course.  Yeah, he played a creepy psychotic lunatic, but he looked damn good doing it.-Agent Charlie Warren

The film certainly has an edge to it. Lots of suspense too. I thought the writing was great and the pacing of suspense was excellent. Michael Greenspan and Christopher Dodd did WRECKED together back in 2010. I guess what I like about their work is that it does feel real and the little twist and turns that happen that do pay off.

Yes, it was a sweet surprise to come across this film. Just what you need on those late hot muggy nights of summer. Staying up late for a sleepover with a film that will not put you to sleep.
