Tammy

Oh, this is what you get when a husband wife get together and go crazy in the car. Well, only if you are Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. Ben directed the film and there is a part in the beginning where he is Tammy's boss.

It is a funny movie. At times, perhaps ridiculous. But he movie has a great cast. Allison Janey as her mom and the one and only Susan Sarandon as her grandmother.

Basically, its about a woman in a small town leaving her husband (She only lives a couple doors down from her mother) and she goes on a roadtrip with her alcoholic diabetic grandmother. Of course, would you really want to drive anywhere with Tammy? She is quite wild behind the wheel.

Its in Kentucky, where she meets Mark Duplass who is trying to keep up with his Dad (Gary Cole) who has a thing for Tammy's grandmother.

If you need a good laugh or two, then you'll want to catch this film. If you love Melissa McCarthy's characters then you must see this film.

While filming her new movie Tammy, Melissa McCarthy recently got into a jet ski accident which cost her $9,000. Lately this week, the 43 year old actress dropped by to talk to Chelsea Handler to promote her new comedy flick while talking about some struggles she faced on set. One of the main issues, was her trouble on the seas. The movie which also stars Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates, and Allison Janney,  required McCarthy to wear an expensive strawberry-blonde wig. During one of the main scenes, McCarthy stated in her interview, “We weren’t actually shooting yet, we were just doing a test”/”It’s hard to shoot on water because everything’s moving… so we did a test and I’m like, ‘Isn’t it a great idea if I’m in full wig and costume?” McCarthy never rode a jet ski before, yet her stunt coordinator kept telling her, “give it a little more gas,”  and he said at the end, “really dig into the curve.” While going 45 miles/ hour, she suddenly lost her expensive wig which was $9,000. In the end, McCarthy stated, “At least we got the scene”, sadly though,  cameras weren’t even on during that time period!-eni

It might not be for everyone. But it was a fun summer movie to see.

STORYLINE: Tammy, who was recently fired from a Topper Jack's fast food restaurant, returns home only to find her husband enjoying a romantic meal with the neighbor. She quickly packs her necessities, and travels down three houses to her parent's home. Upon denied use of her mom's car to drive to Niagara Falls, she quickly resorts to an "ailing" grandmother, who also lives in the home...Only instead of traveling alone, Grandma Pearl wants in on the road trip. After realizing Grandma Pearl has the funds, they hit the road. Pearl soon proves to be quite the alcoholic despite her diabetes, and Tammy quickly turns into the "baby-sitter." From finding love in a bar to robbing a Topper Jack's in order to bail Pearl out of jail,the quirky adventure will have you finding yourself riding along for the misadventures of Tammy.
