Dark City came out in 1998 with Rufus Sewill, Kiefer Sutherland and Jennifer Connelly.
Story: A man struggles with memories of his past, including a wife he cannot remember, in a nightmarish world with no sun and run by beings with telekinetic powers who seek the souls of humans.

The movie was written and directed by Alex Proyas who went on to make I, Robot and Knowing. His new movie in the making is Gods of Egypt.
