Jake Gyllenhaal is back! What can I say? I'm glad Jake takes chances.

Storyline: When Lou Bloom(Gyllenhaal), a driven man desperate for work, muscles into the world of L.A. crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. Aiding him in his effort is Nina, a TV-news veteran(Renee Russo).

This movie was both fun and terrifying. Jake Gyllenhaal's performance as Lou Bloom will certainly frighten you. He is brilliant when paired with the amazing monologue style rants written for him.-LTS

Louis Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a fascinating character in that he’s simultaneously a short-changed criminal and a highly professional businessman. He continuously speaks in corporate buzzwords while referencing unquestionably amoral activity; he hires his assistant Rick (Riz Ahmed) as an intern and rants to him about career ambitions, even though Rick is a homeless degenerate with no experience.-nerdo
