When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Never one to give up hope, Ella's fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger.
Such an impressive cast! And genuinely romantic! At Disney's best. Who other than the lovely Lilly James take the helm as Ella in this sweet gigantic film of goodness!
Now, be warned, lots of little princesses are enjoying this film with their mums. To my surprise, the theater was offering brunch on the occasion when I went. Still, I was impressed with the film's old time romance and chivalry. Naturally, it is more grownup entertainment than adolescent. Even so, they will be inclined to all those little creatures Cinderella keeps company. Honestly, a beautiful film, and your beau might enjoy it too.
Downside, I could have sworn they used special effects on Lily James' waist to keep her stunningly slim and she looked taller than the prince..but whatever.
