Fiction Tuesday - American Housewife

DoubleDay

A sharp, funny, delightfully unhinged collection of stories set in the dark world of domesticity, American Housewife features murderous ladies who lunch, celebrity treasure hunters, and the best bra fitter south of the Mason Dixon line.

Some might not connect to the "Stepford Wife" theme in the 12 stories by Ellis. Yet, some find her fiction to be their cup of tea. This book is laced with DARK FICTION which you might not be comfortable with. Yet the stories are full of sarcasm and wit. Unfortunately, I don't see this one out doing Shirley Jackson, who wrote plenty of short fiction about suburbia.
