Secretly, Greatly

Secretly Greatly

STORYLINE: Three elite North Korean sleeper agents live under cover for so long that they believe their cover stories are their real identities. They are shocked when they are ordered to kill one another or face death at the hands of an elite hit team.

Kim & Park

This movie was a hit for the South  Korean movie box-office back in 2013. Possibly, because of Kim Soo-Hyun, an incredible chameleon! He's so comedic and quite the action hero, too. Add Park Ki-Woong to the mix as his very cool friend and this movie definitely has the WOW factor going for it.

I laughed. Laughed more, but there are lots of tears too.  Definitely, a character driven movie of someone who definitely keeps his identity a secret. Meanwhile, keeps his neighborhood in check from the small and sometimes bad things that happen there. Yet, never lets anyone know, he's no more than an imbecile or a slacker at most who helps out at the neighborhood shop. Then, his fellow comrades appear. Each with a new identity. I really could have gotten used to these three in a fun TV series, but the latter part of the film becomes quite different than the beginning.

It has to be one of my top favorite South Korean films.
