You might not know that Mary Louise Parker is a writer as well as an actress. She's written many essays in literary magazines. This is her first fiction. The book comes off more as a memoir than fiction(actually, it is nonfiction..but at the time I was reading it..I thought it was fiction. Still, the startling reflections are inspiring. A way to spark your own memories from your own life and family. Oh, she stitches in all the flaws beautiful. Honestly, I enjoyed the read after I got into it. It is definitely not ordinary.
Dear Future Man Who Loves My Daughter,
If you hurt her in ways that are irreparable I will send out people to hurt you back, sorry, but it has to be like that. Yes, you may have had a difficult childhood, but please allow me to introduce myself: Hello, I am the woman who doesn’t give a shit.
