(Veronica who sits in her room pondering how to get close to Jared who won't give her the time of day)
VERONICA: Maybe if I turn him into a cat...he could stay in my room. We might actually talk then.
(Jared off in the woods trying to find his secret powers with his fist takes time to reflect about all the things he can't stand about Veronica)
JARED: Why? Why does she keep staring at me? Why does she have to ask me so many questions? Doesn't she know I don't like people to get close to me? I mean.. (Looks at hands as if they might be on fire already without him even knowing) I could burn somebody.
