Ellie wasn't expecting a tea party when she got to Wren's. Granted school was out now and the teenage girl loved to sleep late and stay up all night.
"What's this about?" Ellie asked.
"Oh, I'm leaving tomorrow for Seoul." Her head was high as is she might be a princess of some kind.
"Tomorrow?" Ellie winced. Was this her way of getting her back to Korea? Yes, she would love to go back and find out what was really going on with her old friend Kaori . Had she really broken up with her husband? After all, she'd found out from Violet that her friend was with child. Did she dare want to go back and be there to take care of all that?
She was torn. She liked her new life with Milo in New York City. Yet, there was the guilt. Not being there for Kaori.
"Well- I..I have so many plans with Milo." She planned to go on a few road trips with her husband to see the great outdoors. They would camp out while he was filming a documentary.
"I know." Wren didn't intend for her to go. She would go there on her own. She hoped to grow up this summer.
