Nico & Violet

Violet wasn't surprised in the least when they found that Jay had not left Kaori. In fact, they had a nice little place in the country and were quite the homebodies these days. Kaori was expecting.

"Huh?" was about all she got out of Nico, who was stuffing his face most of the trip. It was true, he was going to eat since he didn't have to cook.

Of course, Kaori was surprised to see all of them, but they had room out back so they all camped out under the stars and had one barbeque after another.

At least her brother Kenzo wasn't too much of a poop. In fact, he seemed happy to be there.

Honestly, Violet couldn't understand it. Honestly, she'd only seen Kaori in pictures. Naturally, she had to give Ellie a full report over the phone. And finally, the two old roommates talked.

It wasn't long until Kaori was crying on the phone.

"See, this is why I didn't want to talk to her." She said after the phone call. "I'm so emotional right now." She sobbed into a few tissues. Violet watched Kaori's baby bump jiggle like JELLO.

"She didn't know. I guess she was confused about you and Jay. She was afraid he'd left you" Violet shrugged, not sure what else to say. "I know she's happy for you two."

"Do you think Ellie will ever have kids?" Kaori looked sad about the idea of it never happening. She mentioned how she'd wanted them (Kaori & Ellie) to raise their children together.

"Um, Ellie doesn't seem like the mother type to me," Violet told her. "I mean, these days its really tough to support a family." She thought of the old customs of how the whole family lived together. She knew no one would admit it, but there was less and less of that unless you were really stuck with your family.

The way Violet looked at it, it seemed more and more friends were sharing homes together. At least, it felt that way in her life.

"Besides, I think she just wants to get to know Milo. But who knows, they might have a family someday." Violet smiled.

 Of course, Violet didn't see herself as if ever having a baby. Well, probably not with Nico. Yet, a little of her thought it would be amazing to be a mom.
