Stephanie looked like the perfect bleach blond. The envy of anyone in her class. But she'd always felt there was just too much expected of her. So she never wanted to be a cheerleader, but she was. Heights frightened her, but it felt everyone thought she should be on top of the pyramid. Naturally, she worried about her weight too so she never enjoyed anything at those parties she was invited to. Of course, everyone expected her to be with the captain of the football team. Weren't perfect people supposed to be together? So of course, they got engaged, which ended up being the longest engagements of all time. She wanted to be a veterinarian, after all.
Oh, he couldn't wait and she didn't really care. She's got a dog she loves and even a kitten or two. She'd even be fine with a little house in the woods and that's what she's planning to do when she retires from the Animal clinic.

Very interesting 😊
ReplyDeleteIt is not always as perfect as it seems.
ReplyDeleteAdoro que le gusten los animales. Genial fragmento . Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, beautiful girls have such a thing that no one expects anything more from them than that they are beautiful. And sometimes they want more.
ReplyDeleteOther people's expectations are the worst! Stephanie's story is a sad one; you've definitely endeared us to her. It makes me wonder if she grew to love the captain of the football team, or if their engagement remains part of the charade.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, your trio of unicorns with flowers in glittery frames sounds like a magical birthday gift for anyone! :)
