HOW DOES YOUR BEST FRIEND FEEL ABOUT WHO YOU HAVE MET?

 Riley : My closest friend Brandon was happy to meet Melissa. (She smiles) After all, I had talked about to him about Melissa, a lot. (she grits a smile thinking Melissa might not be pleased about that.) But anyway, he was happy to meet her. Um, he's very positive (she nods) I'm glad he's such a good friend. And I feel Melissa is comfortable around him.

 Melissa : Um, I guess my closest friend is my little sister. Honestly, I didn't want to tell her about Riley. I  mean, I haven't actually came out. OK, I did to my parents on the 4th of July which didn not go well. (she squints with a sigh) But Victoria has really been supportive a lot more supportive than I ever imagined. I know she wants me to be happy and she knows Riley makes me happy.

 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR BEST FRIEND'S FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER?

 Riley : Actually, Brandon invited us over to dinner when we were in town. We got to meet his boyfriend, who's kind of funny. Um, I was actually a little shocked that Brandon was going for someone like his new boyfriend, but he's nice. I really feel we will be doing more with Brandon and his boyfriend. (Riley sighs as if she is relieved.) Um, I still wonder about one friend from high school, just how she would react. Actually, Brandon knows her. I think she's getting used to the fact that more of her friends are gay. 

 Melissa : Well, I feel my sister and I are closer now. I like that she's on my side with my relationship with Riley. I am so glad to have her support even if my parents aren't supporting my relationship with  my girlfriend.
