High Kick 2

 

I don't think these guys ever made another drama together. Truly, it was early on in their dramas. Although Daniel Choi ( the guy standing who hasn't made any dramas in a while is finally back to making a couple this past year and always looks better in a pair of glasses!) This is from 2009-2010. I will go as far to say I thought the writing was better in the original series, but this is the one that most remember, and it had such great laughs with Yoon Shi Yoon (the guy sitting) Imparticular the episode where he realizes the girl (who is standing behind him) he's in love with has been handwashing his underpants. Not gonna lie I laughed so much it made me cry. Actually, I felt this was the core of the whole drama as in Rich guy falls for maid. Which we find out was the essential story of the first round of this series although, with different characters ..yet the guy who played the grandpa just played another grandpa in this series. In the original the main character (grandpa) didn't like the way his family was treating the young girl who was the maid so they ran off together and got married. While in this series it's a much more modern tale of family and of course romance. Naturally, it's Hawan Jung Eum (the woman sitting) who steals the show, and spends much of it annoyed with the doctor (guy who is standing behind her) and thinks her student (guy she's sitting next to) is falling in love with her. This show runs 126 episodes. After a while, we all get annoyed with the show. It's as if they ran out of things to make it a comedy. Most will agree the drama ended badly. Also, there are a few annoying characters. I'm not sure if the writers learned anything from this drama. Yet, it possibly kept Yoon Shi Yoon in the dramas. And of course, the series came back for more in a third round of High Kick except with new characters.
