Sarah felt a little troubled when she stepped out into the dark hallway. Where had Mina gone off too? She stepped back in and wondered about the time.
"OH MY GAWD," She blinked, looking at the clock twice. How long had Fitz been here?
"What's the matter?"
Now he looked at her a bit bug-eyed.
"Look at the time?" She pointed to the clock but got out her cell to see if it were correct.
"So." Fitz looked at her with almost a smirk.
"It's past two in the morning." She shot him a look that this should have ended hours a go.
"And you're friend is still up," Fitz pressed his lips as if this was all Mina's fault. They would be in bed about now if her friend hadn't come knocking, he reminded her ever so calmly.
Sarah sighed. She felt a little mute. It was quiet, but Fitz took her hand and clasped it between her fingers as if they were more than just playing around.
"You know they hate me," he started.
"Be quiet," she told him as she pressed her index finger on his upper lip. Of course, he liked that and they were practically entangled in a liplock since that was the only way to keep him quiet. "I heard something." Sarah pulled away and looked toward the window.
"It was probably me," he practically giggled.
"Be still." She ordered as she was certain. "What was that?"
She looked at him ever so hauntingly.
"The wind?" He squinted with a shrug.
She went to the window, but he was still holding on as if they might be tied together. Her fingers were beginning to sweat between his, but still, it felt genuine. However, she needed both hands to open the window and look out. Sarah could see Mina down below with Kirby in the shrubs. And was he naked? She gasped.
"What are they doing?" She tensed. She noticed Mina jumping and waving.
"Are they locked out?" Fitz said he'd been locked out before. "I had to sleep on the beach." He enlightened her about his night outside. But she wasn't listening.
"You, go to your room," she knew she didn't want to let Mina know quite yet about the two of them. Oh, he kissed her as if he loved the idea. But she knew she needed to let them in before another fifteen minutes danced them into each other's world.
Of course, he didn't want to go.
"Just go," she left wondering if he would leave her room.
She hurried downstairs. Mina and Kirby were waiting. Of course, Kirby did an awkward dance and hurried to his room.
Sarah and Mina scurried to Mina's. "What are you two doing?" Sarah couldn't be quiet about this. Mina of all people.
"Nothing," she squinted as she leaned against the back of her door that was now closed and locked with them in Mina's room. "It..it was an accident." She took a deep breath as if she needed to stay calm.
"Oh really?" Sarah hugged herself, her thin smile twitched ever so slightly as if she wasn't happy about this, after all.
"OK, I'm worried about you," Mina looked at her blankly.
"You!" Sarah pointed her index finger at her. "You, have nothing to worry about."
"If you say so...but..but it's Fitz!" She scowled with disgust. "Are you crazy?"
"You don't even know him," Sarah said angrily.
"I know enough, and..and-"
"Just worry about you, OK." Sarah was in a pout. She didn't want Mina dissing her man. It gave her a laugh at the throat as a smile bubbled up and she clasped her hand at her neckline, hoping she wasn't blushing.
"I found out something," Mina let a smile slip too. She walked past Sarah and sat at the edge of her bed, slipping off her shoes.
Finally, Sarah sat next to her. "Well, what is it?"
"Kirby isn't going back to the ship, he'll be working at the base," Mina beamed.
"Why are you so happy about that?" She hated to get Mina's hopes up. "You know he's gay? Right?"
