Hello March πŸ’™πŸŒΈπŸ’š

I won't exactly say it's weather for shorts, but if you live in Nebraska, well it might be. At the moment, the snow is gone and the wind is drying us out already into fire danger. We do live in desolate times, even if we won't admit it.

I did find a great thrift find in the kids' section at ThriftWorld this past week. What can I say, I am in love with these Size 4 sandals made by KHOMBU, which I guess you can find at COSTCO and Amazon. These have to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever found. Great walking shoes and house adventures, too.

Finally, I have found a blush balm I can afford from COVERGIRL Skin Enhancer. I really don't wear makeup anymore. I have not found a foundation I can trust. Plus I can't really wear much on my eyes because of the eye stroke I had during the pandemic. So if you are on the go, it is very pleasing to use.

And I have rediscovered Daniel Johnston. Not only was he a gem of a songwriter, but a visual artist too. Funny, we could have possibly past paths and I might not have known it. He went to ACU and I always wanted to go there for Library Science, but my folks couldn't afford a religious school. Just the past week I saw his Hi How Are You art at Schlotsky's, and it made me smile. When he started out, he gave out cassettes of his music where he worked at McDonald's with some of his artwork. His music is considered Indie (at its best) or Lo-fi, which is rather unpolished and with grit.

Here's to a March and all the happiness it brings.

P.S. Fat Tuesday is coming. I think here people started celebrating Friday. We went to our usual buffet place last night. Man or man was it crowded, with lot of meats, and other great things.
