Lost World (1960)

Oh, a star-studded cast! And from the director of the TV show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea! The movie is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Novel. It's been told Professor Challenger is Doyle's favorite character (who would have thunk that!). Jill St. John is the wealthy newspaper's daughter who wasn't invited on this trip, but she shows up before the rest get there on the Amazon with her pup and brother. Fernando Lamas is kind of a sleeze and a singing guide on this mission to show the world, that yes dinosaurs do exist. Unfortunately, the movie ran out of money, and they used their ingenuity to create these monsters (you'll have to see for yourself). The set was later used on The Voyage of the Bottom of the Sea TV series. But plenty of havoc begins on this trip. The natives grow restless and it isn't easy finding your way back home.

No that's not Cher, but the actress generally played Native Americans. Vitina Marcus' claim to fame in the mad love episode as the green chic alien in love with Dr. Smith from LOST IN SPACE. She was also in To Rome with Love TV series. Actually, she reprised her role in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea as the Native Girl on that very same set.
