She's not a Bad Girl

Tamra says we've come a long way since high school. Still, I've got to wonder if we've grown that much. You know, wisdom and such. Especially when it comes to guys. We both seem to be in a rut. 

Come spring means we might be on the prowl. Not that I want to be, nor think of it as a supernatural thing. No, just going a Crowley's and seeing what Spring Break has brought in. Very little, I might add.

So I drink my two max drinks (Lately, it has been just one because it's so pricey). Naturally, she has to tease me about making my own cold brew at home, but I tell her it's quite tasty. 

There we are, and I watch her go. She's found someone who actually knows the two-step that didn't step on her toes. Yeap, might as well be mating season. And she'd gone for a while. I'm holding on to her keys, her phone. Things I am certain she should keep with her. You know, in case something bad happens. But it's like she's put me in my place. 

And the longer I stay, the crazier the night gets. She will tell me later, I am not very good at handling my anxieties. I can't tell her its all because of her.

I dunno how many times I've kept awake wondering where my life would be without Tamra, but then again she is like a sister. Even if she says I'm her best friend. 

And it's when I'm all alone, and I'm cleaning up the bar because nobody else will help that I see him and we talk. After all, he's behind the bar and he isn't going anywhere anytime soon, either.
