June Microfiction Challenge

WORDS: Prints. Frames. Cleans

In the lull of the copier that prints June's reports for the month, Holly finds herself dreaming of last summer when she was only thinking of having this job in the City. She smiles dreamily thinking of  Newton as he frames with his fingers with a cocky grin of how she'd look in pictures as they walk down the boardwalk with the waves behind them. She plays into his fantasy with a sassy grin and makes her way to the snowcones, where she only buys one and begins to eat it as if she might be a tease, just like he said. The sour apple ice begins to drip down her mouth and into her top, but she keeps taunting him as if this could be a pleasure while he cracks into laughter with a shrug that maybe he isn't the voyeur that she thought he was. The ball of green ice unexpectedly splats on her painted seafoam toes, which Newton promptly cleans up.
