RP OC - Dakota

Dakota was in a warm spot. Actually, it was bliss, and she didn't want to move. Dakota didn't want Nav telling her she had to go. They would both be late for work.

"Do I have to?" She winced with a smile as she made herself comfortable in his bed.

Maybe she should rewind back to how everything unfolded on Thanksgiving, which turned into the darkest of Black Fridays when they stayed in bed, and their phones were shut off. Honestly, it was like a whole new universe. And it was just the two of them. Maybe all they needed was just a little wine to nudge them in the right direction, and Dakota forgot everything after that. Including Ezra. She just couldn't face him. She didn't even want to meet him in the hall.

Still, a one night had turned into a week and another, and actually every day after that.

"You have to work. I have classes," he said as he was buttoning his shirt. He brought her coffee, which he'd brewed, and a protein bar. He wasn't perfect, but he did make her laugh in bed.

"Okay, okay. After I finish this." She didn't know why he didn't wake her when he showered. She thought they should do everything together. Dakota took a sip of coffee. She closed her eyes. Coffee was supposed to wake her up, but she didn't want to go out in the cold.

"You know, we need to tell them." He looked her in the eye as he sat down on the bed, which brought back all the woozy feelings she thought of him, being the one she couldn't let get away.

"Yes," she agreed. She didn't want to keep this from Fiona or Frankie, but she shook her head, no. "It's not a good idea. I can't. Ezra.." she sighed. The thought of everyone knowing what a genuine bitch she was hurt her pride.

"OK," Nav said she liked having her secrets. "Maybe, I'm not ready to tell my mother about us either."

She looked at him so sadly.

He kissed her forehead, told her he'd make dinner. He'd get back to his place before she would.

She nodded with a mix of hope and doubt. It was time to be a couple, even if there were snags. She wanted to be with Nav, and maybe it would be easier than she thought. She had to try. She kissed him then as if she couldn't wait to see him again.
