Cole was happy when Zeth arrived. Although he didn't notice how Liz reacted. Sure, she had work and long hours, and he didn't really think much about it.
He had tequila and Zeth. A great combination indeed. So yeah, he forgot work and forgot Liz for that matter, and had a great time chilling with his best bud in all the world.
They talked about old times, even new times. Just what did the future have in store for them? It was a high time full of laughter and being idiots.
Yeah, they trashed the place, played video games, and took it to a whole new level. They'd be best friends for life. And Zeth just might hang out here for good.
But then Cole woke up to the fact that Liz wasn't here to clean up the aftermath.
"Hey, where did she go?" He was in a stupor, perhaps trying to figure out what day it was.
"I didn't even know she was here," was Zeth's comment.
"Well, of course she's here," Cole told him. "I mean, I saved her from that guy. She's got to be here."
Only she wasn't. And it felt like a dream now. He couldn't imagine life without her. Except, he'd had such a good time with Zeth, that he forgot about her.
