Blondfire

This brother and sister duo create smooth alt/pop, almost shoe-gaze-esque music that is too good to ignore - seriously. Their song “Waves" plays regularly on Sirius Alt Nation, and it puts me in the best mood.-higherthanthestars

Have you ever gone to a concert, listened to the opening band and thought, “Wow, they are great. Who are they?" Last month, while attending Foals/Surfer Blood concert, today’s NMM band rocked our socks off. Blondfire, an indie pop band from LA, is made up of brother and sister duo Erica and Bruce Driscoll.  - the summer music project

Definitely a summer duo I can get into. Love their sound!


Blondfire is drippy dream pop with the energy of Youngblood Hawke. Their hit is definitely “Where The Kids Are", with it’s dance electronica sound and always relevant lyrics about being young and free. ‘Hide and Seek" is the real shiner to me though, complete with memorizing chords and drums (yes, drums) and Ms. Driscoll’s silky smooth vocals. A little birdie told me that they are scheduled to be releasing a new album later on this year, and I have to say, I’m excited to see what they will do. Lots of energy, lots of talent, loads of potential! - the summer music project
