Nina used to date only older guys. Not old guys. Just older. You know, over twenty-one, but then she was twenty-one. And still..she felt like she was babysitting.
Sure, she found a job in the city. She was going places even if she practically shared a closet with someone trying to make it on broadway. Nina worked in publishing. From afar she could see what real writers looked like. But she wasn't ever in the room with them for long. No, they had her doing other things during the day that rarely got recognition.
And now that she's older. In her thirties now, it seems she finds herself with younger men.

ReplyDeleteIs Nina a new character? I like her! You tell us so much about her in this short piece, and there's such skill in that. I love reading about people in publishing, and Nina going from dating older men to younger men is very interesting. I'm excited to hear more!
ReplyDeleteOh..this is more like a pre-writing exercise or picture writing after making a collage. Someone I used to know from the Polyvore site would write a little something about actresses as one of her own characters. I thought I would do something a little different and let the LockDown Diary rest for awhile..and leave it on a good net.

This is crazy! Happened to me haha! I dated older guys then at 37 I started seeing a younger guy! Still with him and got a kid!
