Oh My Metrosexual

I guess I can't say that anymore..but it was a thing a few years back.

I remember the first K-drama I saw Yoon Shi Yoon in FLOWER BOY, NEXT DOOR. Of course, his character was in to taking selfies, yet managed a way on the Internet to make it big (Sorry, I actually never finished the drama..because..well, after awhile he was a bit annoying, but he was rather fashionable) However, his goal was to make his neighbor cheer up. She was pretty much a downer. Let's just say it was a rather long drama to get through.

In that same (2013) year, he did HAPPY NOODLE which is actually a Chinese drama. Possibly, out of his element..he still managed to smile all the way through it.

Of course, Yoon was one who grew up making comedies. And so, a lot of his acting is a solo craft. He is very good at comedic material..actually, just walking across a room can be quite a funny scene for him.

But from what I've heard, he has always been his biggest critic over the years. Yes, he did manage to do his military service in secret and when he came back to dramas you knew this boy had grown up. Well..maybe.

In the past few years he's made some very serious dramas like TRAIN which he did bring the emotions. Of course, I kind of like him a little silly as he was in PSYCHOPATH DIARY...or the loser who became not a loser..which just might be his new catch phrase because he has this bit of persona in YOU RAISE ME UP, his latest drama..oh, by the way..is on a bit of hiatus..due too some re-editing..evidently it was too R rated.

  2. Such a fun post! I so enjoyed reading about Yoon Shi Yoon. As usual, you've threaded lots of wonderful humor throughout, but I enjoyed this the most: "Sorry, I actually never finished the drama..because..well, after awhile he was a bit annoying, but he was rather fashionable."
