No bake christmas cookies💕 But good for any holiday.. or for break ups and getting together, too.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup of milk
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups quick cooking oatmeal
Materials
Saucepan
Heat in a pot on the stove. Once you have melted and mixed in all the ingredients (but the quick oats) together so carefully and simmered a bit. Take off the stove and add the quick oats! Then you can put it on parchment or wax paper to cool in spoonfuls (refrigerate if possible) but I have been known to eat this straight from the pot.
Actually, it makes me think of moments with my first love. Of course, I was all of eleven or so back then. This was his favorite thing to make and he'd make it when I was over at his house. Naturally, it was like watching an Ostrich stuff his face. But it was fascinating at the time. Back when we weren't afraid to eat out of the same pot.
It's funny how a homemade treat can bring back so many sweet memories 💕✨🎁

ReplyDeleteI love this! The part about making this candy with your first love was so sweet and unexpected, and this line is gold: "Naturally, it was like watching an Ostrich stuff his face. But it was fascinating at the time. Back when we weren't afraid to eat out of the same pot." Funny and COVID in the same breath? Nailed it! :)
