Oh, it's a riot! & sometimes hard to take seriously..like during a romantic interlude and at the last second he says, "Oh, I have to pee."

Zhang Yu Jian is funny, from the way he walks to just playful conversation. You don't have to know Chinese to enjoy his work. This role is perfect for him. He looks so fetching in a 'Sherlock Holmes' style of dress.

This drama takes place at the end of the Qing Dynasty as when the Republic of China was born so you see old-style dress compared to what the new from the west has to offer. What's more interesting is how the men cut their braids when the dynasty is over, but still like to wear a long maxi shirt over the pants and Naru jackets. Still, this has a lot of mystery and of course quirky comedy. And Kong is in love with Ping. Of course, they are on again, off again through these 30-something episodes, but the supporting cast is great and the ending song is a show stopper!

A fun drama to watch on these cold winter days!
