How do you feel about meeting someone new?
LILY: Oh, this is all so new. (she sighs as she tilts her head and looks at Rafe) I dunno if we can really be friends. I feel he's just..you know..spying on me. Sure, I think he's...a looker, but not a player. I want to believe he has good intentions..BUT ..when he just comes over and I feel like I'm watching him date my grandmother. I dunno if I like that at all. (She shakes her head no). RAFE: Actually, I have never seen myself with anyone. I dunno. I guess I just never thought about it. Sure, there have been rumors here and there that I am seeing someone. Only, no one seems to know who that is. (he smiles) Like a figment of the imagination. Seriously, all ...I have been trying to..I dunno..be someone to watch out for Lily, but I have to watch out for my twin brother Cade, too. I don't want anything bad to happen to him. Especially, if things don't work out for him and Mercer.

ReplyDeleteI like when Lily says that being with Rafe is like watching him date her grandmother. You know, because it's funny. But it also shows her inner conflict about the relationship, which is a red flag. As for Rafe, he's got problems of his own. Watching out for Lily and for Cade certainly seems like a tall order! Thanks for this cool glimpse inside the heads of two of your most recently lovestruck characters. :)
