18. a face in the crowd

Omar always thought he was the odd guy out. He loved art. From doodling as a kid to finding the spray paints as a teen, he was always busy. Sometimes, troublesome, but always hard at work finding the soul of his art.

Oh, he tried to find love a couple of times. But it turned violent with Gina. He was a lover never a fighter. And it didn't turn out too well with Jane either in Art school. Yes, one scholarship after another he went for it. He really wasn't into gangs, thanks to his grandmother and teachers who kept him on the right track. Finally, he met Edwin and he knew life was full of culture and of course love.

This dude kept him on track. He was the best of the best friends. Who knew what he needed. Where his art should be show cased and then some.

It felt as if Omar had gone full circle. He felt whole when he was with Edwin.

  1. What a great story! I was definitely rooting for Omar and wanted him to "find the soul of his art." So it was a lovely bonus when he found a soulmate too! Also, I adore all the yellow in the collage. :)

By the way, I loved hearing about how your grandmother warned you about boys by comparing them to werewolves and vampires. She never would've seen Twilight coming! :)
