Xu-Holland was born in New Zealand to a Chinese father and New Zealand mother. A citizen of New Zealand, she graduated from Victoria University with a degree in biology and Asian studies. She moved to China and for a time, worked in the Bioenergy Industry. In 2016 Xu-Holland started her acting career in a China-Hollywood co-production of 'The Last Race'. Other international works: 2016 'On Wings of Eagles', 2017 'Circus' and in 2018 'Unspoken Code'.

Xu-Holland is best recognized for her work in China, such as the television series “Borderland Love” (2018) written by award-winning Chinese Gao Mantang and online film Special Mission (2018). In 2020, Xu-Holland starred in the highest-grossing film of the year worldwide, The Eight Hundred (2020) directed by Guan Hu, alongside Li Chen and Yao Chen.

One thing about it is Augusta Xu-Holland can play the perfect bitch from hell. She's got the look of confidence and she knows she's trouble where ever she goes. In her 2022 role in Cupid's Kitchen she gets back at her EX genius chef by destroying his taste through essential oils which of course, leads him to someone younger who has a great palate. Oh, she is a tigeress watch for!
