Nobody seemed to believe us. Who could fall in love with a liberal arts major while becoming a doctor? hahahaha..I remember it well. Your mom practically fainting while mine was on cloud nine.
Her daughter was marrying a doctor. Oh, nobody thought it would last and we didn't ask much of anyone. We just dove in like too silly lovebirds. Of course, my sister was mad that we didn't have a REAL WEDDING, after all the beach was calling our name and that seemed to be the only thing that mattered. Granted, there have been so many cold days since then. I've honed in on my knitting while you spent late nights at the hospital, but I think in the end it was well worth it. Somehow, it was the beginning of everything and we didn't even know it.
