Yes, take a step back in time. The 50's and lesbian fiction. You can read more about Ann Bannon and her books in the link above. She really was bold and such meaningful fiction as well. It's a different kind of writing, especially for some. But it really gives you a slice of Americana that I am sure is forgotten.
As someone who loves pulp and vintage covers, I love to see these. I enjoyed reading your write up as well.
