End notes on HIGH KICK 2

I had heard some time ago how funny this Korean Comedy was back in 2009 (I think)  but never had a chance to watch it. Many viewers fell in love with Yoon Shi Yoon or it might have been his haircut. NGL but this fellow got a good voice although, he chooses acting and has really crafted this aspect of his career with dramas like Psychopath Diary, Train and You Lift Me Up

However, this is a show full of terrible jokes and pouty kids that sometimes becomes extreme. Still, you found some laughs. Although, this is a story of a country girl with her little sister who comes to Seoul and luckily finds a job as a housemaid. Of course, this rich family is rude and even oblivious. But in any traditional Korean drama, you've got a lot of miscommunication. Sometimes, not wanting to communicate or let's keep is a secret. Which are elements that keep the viewer coming back.

In this drama you have that old story..she loves him and he loves somebody else while someone is completely smitten by her. So of course, the episodes go round and round, and then you have family who is totally wrong with what they think is going on.

But in episode 126, we know there is going to be a change. We can see that some characters have moved on. Some have had to accept the fact that the one you've counted on most of your youth has now grown up. And of course, the viewer sees this as progress in the long run.

Still, I was expecting something bad, but as time flew by, I kept thinking..oh it couldn't be that bad. But yes, the ending is a shock. Yet one feels, was that from a different drama? Oh, you almost get the feels. If you listen carefully. And yet, it's an episode I don't know if I could put myself through again.

Daniel Choi doesn't even need glasses, but damn if it doesn't make him perfect Boyfriend Material!

  3. This made me laugh: "Many viewers fell in love with Yoon Shi Yoon or it might have been his haircut." You really do have a way with words, weaving humor through everything! It sounds like this series was a bit of a roller-coaster ride.
